사회통합연구는 강원대학교 사회통합연구소의 공식학술지로 1년에 3회(3월, 7월, 11월) 발간하고 있습니다. 사회통합연구는 다양한 유형의 격차 및 사회 갈등 현황을 진단하고 사회통합을 모색하기 위한 목적으로 창간되었으며, 미발표 연구 논문의 투고를 받아 전문가 2인의 심사결과를 토대로 학술지편집위원회에서 최종 게재 논문을 선정합니다.

This study offers a comparative analysis of representations of coal mining and post-mining communities in Anglophone and South Korean media. Short- and Long-Run Causal Links between Total Fertility Rate and Population Density

This study empirically analyzes the causal relationship between Korea’s total fertility rate and population density using long-term time series data from 1960 to 2024. Applying ARDL-ECM and Granger causality tests, the results reveal a long-run equilibrium between the two variables, with population density exerting a unidirectional influence on fertility. A 1% increase in population density leads to an approximate 4.26% decline in fertility in the long run, indicating a strong negative effect. Error correction analysis further shows that when...
